Abstract

Gliosis is an extremely rare cause of endocervical polyp formation. Clinical presentation is like any other polyp. There can be vaginal bleeding or discharge. Cause of the presence of glial tissue in the cervix is debated as it is still uncertain. Some consider them to be foetal in origin while others consider them to be metaplastic in nature. We present probably the first case of gliosis in the endocervix in india.
